The LinkedIn job description stated that the candidate should have at least 4 years of experience. I have only 2 years of experience, but somehow I managed to pass the screening phase. The first interview was with HR and nothing was mentioned about my level of experience. I passed this phase and had a technical interview when, again, nothing was mentioned about my years of experience/seniority. The questions were related to the basics of OOP and WEB development, mostly theoretical aspects/definitions. I got rejected because they were looking for a senior developer. What was the purpose of having the technical interview?
