I applied to Victoria Secret online for a new store opening. I applied on a Sunday and got a phone call the next day which was an over the phone interview. Questions were mainly based on availability and previous experience. I then got asked to come to an assessment center which was one week later. When I arrived I was greeted and shook the ladies hand, then I was asked to take a seat in the waiting area with four other girls, they were all really nice and helpful and I hope they got the job! While sitting with the other girls we all had to fill out a form, that again was based around our availability, They then took the papers and we waited until the last few people arrived. Overall only 7/15 people turned up to the center so I was sat on a table with the three girls I was talking to in the waiting area, and three other girls sat together. We were then told about Victoria Secret and that out of 1400 people who applied we were very lucky and very good to make it to the center, a little confidence boost aha.
We were introduced to the team and then given an scenario that our 'team'/ table had to solve and what we would do if this were to happen in a VS store. For this part you must all work together and show confidence, bring all ideas to the table and also in my feedback process they told me, they want to see you use the products in the presentation! ( as a team you say the scenario to the other team and the employers and what you would do in the situation)
We were then asked different questions one by one some included, Can you give me an example of when you have received great customer service? Can you tell me about a time you have had to sell something? Can you tell me about a bad customer service experience and what they could have done better? How did you connect with a customer? After that question all of us were asked the same question one by one.
After this stage we were then each given a piece of stationary. For this exercise you have to sell the piece of stationary to the employees, be as imaginative as possible, you could even pretend that the stationary is a product e.g a pen is a lipstick!
After this exercise we had finished all the activities, then the team of employers spoke to us about dates, stock-out, onboarding, the benefits of working for VS and also Where do you think you would like to work VS or Pink?
You are then given time to ask them questions, you can ask about the Uniform, what it is like working for VS, What would your first week at VS look like for you?
I was called the day after telling me I had got the Job at a good rate of pay and instead of a sales associate I would be a I can't remember the word however it would mean I would be working every section in the store e.g stockroom, tills, store floor ect.
