I was contacted by a recruiter and we had a simple phone screen with questions about my background. The recruiter told me later that she had forwarded my resume to the hiring manager and that I’d be contacted in the next week or so to set up an interview. I never got any such email, and I sent a follow up email to the recruiter, and she said she was working to get me an interview. I waited some more, and eventually the recruiter told me that my profile was mistakenly purged from their database and was trying to figure it out. She sent me another link to reapply and I did so. I didn’t hear anything else until I got a standard no reply email telling me the position had been filled. Overall a huge headache.
