Received an invitation for a phone interview, which I schedule for the following week. Interview took about 15min and was told the next step would be an onsite interview. After no further word for two weeks, I inquired about the position and was told another candidate was selected for the position.

It was a lengthy process involving multiple rounds of meetings with various stakeholders, including HR, the team lead, the site head, and potential colleagues. I didn't hear back for many weeks even though I was told I would hear back one week.

Phone screen with HR went well. It was pleasant until the talking with the hiring manager. The hiring manager was a bit full of himself and asked really pointed questions. Our conversation went ok, but I didn't like the haughty vibes. I withdrew my application.

The HR partner was direct and too the point. That was a pleasant conversation. The hiring manager was difficult to talk with and slightly intimidating. I didn't get a good vibe from them at all.
