I was bumped from SE II to SE IV after they saw my experience, then senior during the interview process. After that, they rejected me saying they were looking for an SE II (the position I applied for) not a senior at this time. Each round of interview took 2-4 weeks between, where I talked to different people and nobody quite seemed to know whose court the ball was in.

Write a hide-and-seek simulator in Java using 90s Java semantics. Basically a test of knowledge about dynamically-sized arrays, standard library random, and C++-style OO. About the challenge level of a CS102 course.
