Entretien
I interviewed with Verily and didn't have a good experience with recruiters. I enjoyed meeting the designers, PMs and researchers, however the recruiters were unprofessional. They were uninformative on the interview process and would ghost for 2-3 weeks. When it came time to be onsite, I scheduled 3 weeks of available dates and they scheduled the wrong date. Not trying to stir things up, I kept with the date they scheduled and canceled my work commitments. This was a red flag because if you can’t even schedule a date correctly, then you probably are missing out on a lot of details.
I went through the typical Google process with a phone call with a recruiter, a phone call with a designer, the design exercise, another phone call with another designer and then finally onsite. I enjoyed this entire process as I was able to work on a fun exercise that had interesting design problems.
TLDR: Good interview process with designers, researchers and product managers but recruiters were unprofessional.

Please be aware that this company requires an unpaid, take-home design exercise for their potential designers. The prompt was kind of fun, and only tangentially related to their business, but still took over 10 hours to complete.
They will not provide you feedback on this exercise or your interviewing skills.
