      Entretien pour Marketing Writer

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via une autre source. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Venuiti (Atlanta, GA) en août 2025

      Entretien

I was in the process of being hired for a part-time remote writing job at a company when Venuiti, who had a contract with them for other work, suggested they bring me in under Venuiti’s umbrella instead of the company hiring me directly. I was very hesitant, having had a bad experience in the past where Venuiti stepped in and began taking work tasks I had at a full-time corporate job for their own people, including family members. I was encouraged to give them a second chance, so I did. I had a positive conversation with them (Atlanta office) and a promise of a solid hourly rate on W2 with the hours I needed. Initially I was told everything looked good and the job should be getting going promptly. As more and more time passed, though, I had to prompt them for information every 4-5 days to get an update. Each time I was reassured that the job was on the way as long as they got some approvals or after they submitted this proposal or that information. At one point they said the job would start “this week, next week, or the week after.” After more waiting, I called and left a message and received no response. I waited another two weeks with no contact. I never heard from them again. I learned from the original company that Venuiti had gotten the hours approved before ghosting me. I guess they took the hours for themselves, leaving me out of a job — similar to my first experience with them. I got so stressed during the process (it’s a very tough job market and this was a great opportunity) that it affected my physical health. Lesson learned. If someone shows you who they are, believe them, and don’t give them another chance. Reading the recent reviews from people who work in their Canada office, at least I can tell myself that maybe I “dodged a bullet.”
