      Entretien

Company: Velocix Solutions Position: Software Engineer (Testing) Interview Rounds: 3 (though only two were conducted for me) Outcome: Hired Round 1: Technical Interview Duration: 70 minutes (Shorter compared to other candidates) Format: Virtual interview Details: The first round started with the interviewer asking for a personal introduction, where I shared my background, skills, and interest in software testing. The interviewer was particularly interested in my previous projects, especially those related to software testing, automation, and scripting. After discussing my projects, the interviewer moved on to technical questions. The questions were mostly focused on: Java: Exception handling, core Java concepts, and coding scenarios involving exceptions. Python: Basics, scripting, and problem-solving abilities. Shell Scripting: Basic scripting tasks and how to automate testing scenarios. JavaScript and MERN Stack: Asked about my familiarity and how I could leverage JavaScript for testing, particularly in a MERN environment. There were also coding questions, primarily focused on exception handling in Java, which were of medium to hard difficulty. Overall, I felt the level of difficulty was challenging but fair, covering a wide spectrum of technologies. The interview lasted for about 70 minutes, which was shorter compared to others, likely due to my concise responses and well-prepared examples. Round 2: (Skipped) I was informed that based on my performance in the first round, I would skip the second round, which was a more in-depth technical discussion for other candidates. Round 3: HR Round Interviewers: Technical Recruiter and Global HR Manager Details: This was more of a combination of HR and technical questions. The HR team asked me about my technical expertise and clarified a few points from the first round. They also asked some behavioral questions to understand my teamwork skills and how I handle pressure. Most of the discussion was centered around salary expectations, benefits, work culture at Velocix, and future growth opportunities. They also talked about the company’s focus on employee well-being and career development. The interviewers were quite transparent, making me feel comfortable during the discussion. Outcome: Hired! After the HR round, I was informed that I was selected for the role, and we began discussing the next steps for onboarding.
