Met with hiring manager and critical stakeholder leadership. We discussed the product, gaps, opportunities, and typical behavioral and methodology type questions. Overall, the interviews themselves were not difficult and were laid back.
The process however was not organized. I had to be proactive about reaching out to ask for next steps. A recruiter did not become involved at any point. At one point I just stopped hearing back despite positive feedback, standard ghosting practice unfortunately. Then almost three months later, a recruiter reached out asking to schedule next rounds. For me, it really highlighted a facet of culture that’s important to me - are the humans in the company and applying to join treated like people or like resources. This experience indicated the latter.
