I did my first interview through an AI, and it wasn't too bad; the process was smooth. I then got a second interview with the hiring manager, and during this interview, the manager questioned the lack of industry experience I had and bluntly told me that there were better-qualified people for this role than me, and questioned my role in applying for the position. It was unprofessional to tell me that I wasn't fit for the role, and they could have just rejected me instead of saying those unprofessional things during an interview. The idea of having industry experience for an internship position was honestly quite dumb.
