Candidate pool is usually 5-8 individuals. Interview is sometimes panel. Mine was 2 interviewers. Behavioral based questions about 25 min. Interview went well until I was asked if I would consider another position (lateral) if this promotional one didn't pan out. I said, yes, being the job was interesting as described. I feel like I was trapped with the next question - between the 2 jobs, which would you rather have? The one I applied for, of course. I didn't respond directly for fear that I would sound condescending. I didn't answer directly enough according to the decline feedback.

First is an HR screening with basic questions to make sure you are minimally qualified. Then, 3 rounds of interviews. First with peers, then manager and then other leaders. All interviews were virtual.

Initial phone call with recruiter from the U.S. The recruiter messed up the job description and advertised the wrong role.
Next was interview with hiring manager. Wanted to know more about current role, asked straight forward questions.
