I was contacted by a recruiter and asked to take an assessment. The next steps after the assessment, would’ve been a conversation with the hiring manager in a case study. It sounded like an interesting position but the max pay quoted seemed low, albeit good benefits. I was willing to consider it because I thought it sounded very intriguing. Unfortunately, the online coding assessment had instructions that didn’t match the exam and questions over different subject matter than I had been told. I thought maybe I had been sent the wrong test. When I reached out about it, I was treated like I was trying to cheat their system and get away with something. I withdrew my application after that.
