I applied online through Vanguard’s job board. I got the call from one of the recruiters and a couple days later, had my phone interview. It went well, as I bypassed waiting two weeks for a call for the onsite interview. During the on site interview, there was a presentation from a top recruiter, a supervisor who directed to the room, and a lady in HR. After the presentation, there was a 2 hour interview bloc- a case study and a regular question interview. After both of those, the group and I went on a tour of the facility.
For anyone that reads this… YOU MUST PLAN AHEAD AND PREPARE THOROUGHLY IF YOU WANT TO GET A JOB AT VANGUARD. Work on your interviewing skills, research Vanguard’s website, get a basic understanding of financial terminology, and do practice case studies.
The people I encountered were friendly and kind, which makes it a great place to work. People greet you and you definitely feel a sense of value working at a place like Vanguard. They cater food some times as well, an incentive for you to remain on site and not go off.
I had 3 interviews total- the phone, case study, and the one on one questions.
