It was relatively easy. Covered basics of the role, what the day-to-day looks like, and reviewed accounting as well as educational background. Discussed how education and past non-accounting experiences could relate to the role.

I originally applied for another job in the accounting department, but after it was filled, a recruiter talked with me about other available positions that would complement my skills and experience. Later on, I had a phone interview with the same recruiter, and then about a week later, I got an email requesting me to schedule an in person interview with my future boss. After I had my in person interview, my interviewer basically told me I had the job unless something "weird" came up in my reference check. I gave my references a heads up about her contacting them, and I had an offer letter in my inbox less than 48 hours after the interview.
