A long drawn out process, with the recruiting team changing some time slots on 2 occasions. About 3-5 separate zoom/hangout calls, consisting of various folks within the organization. A system design where 2 unqualified developers attempt to gauge your technical/architectural expertise in how to create a URL Shortener. This portion was very disorganized and insulting and does not factor in some obvious flaws on how one of the junior developer from a bootcamp attempted to give a 20+ year veteran a technical assessment. Senior director rarely get this type of assessment. I would not even give this to a Senior Manager or Director. Especially if your job was previously scaling teams at a global level.
If you are going to try to give a System Design interview similar to the FAANG companies like Google, FaceBook, please understand how to conduct these interviews. Train the interviewer(s). The smirks and lack of support was visible and felt like you were being bullied through out the process. The Rubrik used seems to guarantee you will be a no-go, if they feel they did not hear the signals in the SD portion, even if you may have done well in the other interviews. This takes the cake in a highly disappointing experience. Not to mention they let you know you are a no-go on Christmas Eve.
