You get a call from the HR lead to verify your contact info, schedule availability, chat about longevity plans, and answer any questions about potential benefits or the company in general. Then you get scheduled for a trial shift to work alongside the other staff and see what the job actually is. If you do well, you get a call within a few days to review the hiring process.

Given the niche industry we're in, we don't typically hire for short term seasonal positions. Are you looking for a position with us through the end of your diploma/degree or do you feel realistically that you would only be with us for a short season?
You get a call from their HR to verify application information and schedule a trial shift. The trial is a few hours of working with the existing staff to see what the job is and whether you're a good fit and if you like it. Then HR calls a few days later to either offer a job or say "no thanks". You can also say "no thanks" to them if you didn't like the position after all.
