Had a total of 5 rounds - initial HR phone call, technical phone call, 2 technical in person, 1 HR in person. Apart from the initial HR phone call, each round took 1+ hour. On Friday the HR informed me that they all loved me and are ready to offer the position at my desired salary. By Monday they asked me my address and my tentative joining date as it'll be mentioned in my offer letter. Said I'll receive the letter by EOD. But then, they never sent it. After many unanswered calls, they tell me on Thursday that due to some internal restructuring, the position is no longer available and they've decided to not go ahead with me. I had already put my papers in my current company and said no to some other company. This is the worst a company could do to a candidate.
