My interview process was fortunately a very quick and successful experience. I was extremely driven and determined to work for Universal Music Group. So I was very thorough when reviewing each and every position they had available. I opened each listed position and read every detail of the position summary, as well as, the requirements and qualifications needed. By personally practicing this process in my search for employment, especially for a company I resonate with and feel passionately about, I had success in finding a position that I was a PERFECT fit for and knew that I would surpass other potential candidates and excel at. The position title did not describe the position's duties whatsoever, my detailed and timely thorough research paid off and lead me to an immediate contact from the Human Resources Department, that they literally did the initial interview over the phone and scheduled me a direct interview with the Vice-President of that department the NEXT DAY! It was literally a 2-Day affair. The VP was so impressed with my interview, portfolio and skills.. and the fact that I put 2 and 2 together within the job description that every other candidate passed by.. I had a phone call before I reached the building's parking structure with a job offer and question asking my salary requirements, which I went ridiculously high on expecting a counter-offer that did not happen and then a second question asking what Computer & Software set-up I required. It was all there, set-up, loaded ready to go when I arrived to work that following Monday! It was a dream come true for any employee to be catered to with such professional esteem. The best job I ever had, I regret the day I had to leave the company. I desire to return as soon as I can, if that describes how much I love this company and the people that work there.

behavioral questions, past experience and any projects or experiences related to the music industry
interview with the human resources team first then an interview with the hiring manager. it was virtual on zoom
For an entry level coordinator role I did 6 rounds with 8 interviews and 1 assignment. Lengthy, but nice people.
Prior to the 8th round, I was told I would get an offer after the interview if it went well. In the final round they asked me “who my referral was, and that they were asking me this for a reason”. I told them who it was, and they didn’t know who they were.
The following day I got a call telling me that they were going with someone else and that it had been a toss up.

Question 1
Tell us about yourself? Why would you be a good fit? Tell us about a time you had to make a tough decision and how you handled it? What about this job has made you pause?
