This was by far the most disappointing and unprofessional interview process I have gone through or been a part of… after applying, I received an email stating interest and directing me to take an assessment that was scenario based (how would you most likely respond to this situation) as well as a personality assessment. About a day after completing the assessments, I was invited to a video interview. This was definitely different as it 4 sets of questions that were really 6-8 questions per prompt. You had to answer the entire prompt addressing each part of the question within 3 minutes with 4 attempts. I completed this and about two days later was invited to a video interview with a hiring manager. I immediately chose a time that was given as an option and received a confirmation email about the scheduled interview.
Thirty minutes before my interview, I received a voicemail from a recruiter communicating the the hiring manager had an emergency. There weren’t steps telling me about a reschedule, but to email back confirming I received the call. I emailed back immediately and heard nothing back. About an hour later, I called the recruiter, but only received a pre-recorded voicemail saying “this recruiter is unavailable. Please leave a voicemail” I left her a voicemail and did not hear back. The next day, I called again and got the same prerecorded voicemail. I decided to send another email asking if a reschedule was possible. She emailed me the next day (two business days after the interview was supposed to take place) saying she sent me an interview link to schedule. I never received it in my inbox or Junk mail and requested her to send it again. She did and I got it immediately and scheduled my second interview. I received a confirmation that it was scheduled with a link to the video call. …my interview time and day comes and I join the interview 10 minutes early. I sat for an hour and no one joined. I emailed the recruiter 30 minutes into waiting, communicating that maybe my interview was forgotten or there may have been a conflict. She emails back and says “let me confirm something”
Then 30 minutes later, I get a canned response email from the recruiter saying “I already sent the interview reschedule link. Email when you received it” I emailed anyway because yet again, I didn’t get the interview invitation link and there was no communication on what happened with my second interview reschedule… why would I reschedule a third interview attempt to get prepared, take time out of my day, and not be communicated with? I believe United Health Group may be a great company to work for, but it must be a miracle to actually get through an interview. The recruiting process is horrendous and such a let down. My first impression of this company is that they are extremely unprofessional.
