I was referred in by my friend, and they got back to me the same day with a project. They give you 5 days for the project, and it takes a lot of your time, so be prepared for that. If all goes well, within a few weeks you hear back for 2 30 min phone interviews. I did those but was unprepared for the depth of questions they asked.
I was impressed by the professionalism of the interviews though, and they did a great job explaining Uber's culture. I was also impressed by their respect for the engineering organization - this matters to me as a previous engineer now turned product manager. Lastly, I could tell they were super smart. I would have loved to work with them but didn't move on to the onsite.
Did a homework assignment, product sense interview, and followed by an execution interview. Overall it was very fast and got moved between rounds quickly. Interviewers were nice but pretty deadpan in terms of it not being very conversational.

Didn’t even get a first-round interview. This program is ridiculously competitive. If you don’t have FAANG on your resume, good luck. At the info session, they had past APMs who all interned at top tech companies, showing applicants that they have a great chance. My friend got an interview, and I shared one of the questions she got.

Consists of 4 rounds in total. Take home case, design interview, metrics and strategy interview, and final on site. Take home care is to come up with a new idea for uber. (Like uber frieght, I did uber for fashion delivery). The second round is a typical design interview. The third round, the metrics case is where I did not move to the next round.
