Process does take a long time. I applied in Late January and by the end of February i was contacted to do a phone interview in 2 weeks time Standard phone interview with a few behavioral questions and scenarios like designing a city transit grid and a math based database question. I was notified a week later that i was selected for a Onsite interview at their main campus in San Antonio. 2 Day interview process with first night was a dinner with recruiters and other candidates. IT seems they are looking to see if you contribute to the conversations, so ask them questions about USAA and their experience there. Next day was a walking tour and a interview with two senior members. From what i gathered they are looking to see how well you perform with a team and your critical thinking abilities and again ask them questions about USAA , their job, the Mission statement!!. The interview lasted about an hour and i felt very confident when i went back with the rest of my group. they said they would contact in about 2 weeks it was closer to 3 weeks. I was offered a Base salary. Try negotiating they will ask for reason and competing offers. Provide and justify why you believe you deserve the extra pay. Its worth a shot! You are given 24 - 48 Hours to do a Drug test and then begin the background check which for me took 2 months more to complete Started process in January , ended in April with a job offer and begin the new job shortly later.
