I was accepted through US Naval Academy as the commissioning source. In order to become a pilot, you have to have had decent grades in order to choose/receive the job that you want. Out of the Naval Academy I went to Aviation Preflight Indoctrination which was the initial aviation school and then after that on to flight school. The bottom line is that grades and performance will ultimately decide the platform that you will be able to choose (for the top graduate) or receive (for everyone else).

J'ai postulé en personne. Le processus a pris 12 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez US Navy (Charlotte, NC) en nov. 2013
Entretien
I had to drive to my closest Officer Recruiting Station which was over (2 hours away) at least 4 times. First to do the screening and gain access to the online application which is VERY thorough. Second time was to take the ASTB on their computer. Third time was to interview with an officer. And finally, the fourth time was to take my Oath of Enlistment prior to starting OCS.
