In the Army, promotions from Specialist to Sergeant and Sergeant to Staff Sergeant are determined by a board, during which the individual is tested on various military knowledge as well as niche questions. Appearance, conduct, and career also are used by the three board members to gauge the candidate.

Interviews are easy as long as your OERs are good. The AIM marketplace is a sham though. Total facade. You need to have a personal connection and voco before you try to match on AIM.

Was a nervous experience but something anybody can do. Its just a matter of preparing for it. Remain calm and collected , it worked. Being able to remain calm, helped a lot.
