Meet requirements and applied to be an officer. Obviously college degree is required with health requirements for the position. I meet with recruiters to review my qualifications and did have some questions on why I wanted to join. I had pass a physical fitness test and meet grade requirements to be competitive. I was in the middle of the pack grade wise so there were no issues.

Entretien
Took awhile to get a hold of a recruiter. The quickest methods are through a ROTC program at a university or attend the academy if you qualify. The process was long and involved the individual helping the recruiter because they were overwhelmed with paperwork. If you are patient and you want the position, take the time to help them when needed (have your documents ready, etc.).
I attended a service academy, which has an interview process like none other. It involved a Congressional nomination, medical exams, essays and the like. It was long, but guaranteed me employment for over a decade.
