I was contacted the morning after submitting my resume and cover letter by a recruiter. I had an interview two days following the initial notification. The interview was only 15 minutes and was extremely routine. When it came time for me to ask questions at the end of the interview, I of course asked the day to day work and then what the position entails weekly. The recruiter had an abrupt attitude and said she does now know the specifics to that question.
I understand as a recruiter you are calling A LOT or people daily, BUT you should have general knowledge of the position and the general work that potential employee will be doing. For an organization that prides itself in customer service...they don't really do what they preach.
