The interview process for UP3 was fairly rushed and I was pressured into making a decision very quickly. I decided at the time that the hybrid model was not right for me. I was then called by the founder to see if there was something we could do to make this work. I accepted this and went to the office to meet them and really enjoyed it. I advised that I would contact them when I’d finished the work day to accept or decline the offer they had made me in writing. I handed in my notice at my current employer and called them to tell them the good news to be greeted with them telling me they do not think I am a good fit for the role, despite making an offer and also asking if there’s anything they can do to make it work, after I initially declined. I called the founder back and explained that I was frustrated that no one called me earlier to tell me that they had already made a decision that they were not moving forward. This whole process was a total mess and has left me in a situation which I’ve never found myself in before.
