The interview process was a good experience. It was the perfect mix of a presentation of the expectations, questions about my work ethic / experience, and any questions that I had. In the end, as a sort of extension of the interview, I did a trial quarter in the laboratory. It was a good opportunity to see if I was a good fit for the lab, and if I was contributing to it in a positive way. Following a review of the trial quarter, I was offered a position as a student researcher in the lab.
