Applied to the job online and within one week got a standard e-mail asking me to participate in a 4 hour coding challenge. No comment on anything about what Tyler had to offer, what the pay rate was, or what life was like at Tyler. Simply put, they wanted me to invest my time into something that was potentially going to be a bust without so much as a cursory phone screen.
I replied back to the email asking for at least a brief phone screen to determine if Tyler was going to be a good fit for me, before investing my time into their test.
3 - 4 weeks later, I got an email reply from a different representative asking what my questions were and apologizing for the delay. I promptly replied back with my phone number and my questions. 3 - 4 weeks later I am still waiting for a reply.
If they run their HR department like they run their software department, I have absolutely no interest in their company. For giggles, I did complete their "test" as described on this site in about 2 hours during some down time. Unfortunately, seeing how they treat potential hires, I lost interest in pursuing this any further.

It was a pretty seamless process and the one that you know that they are serious about the role and as well as value me as a candidate. Made them look like very cultured company.
Prepare a presentation and written technical assignment, and present it to the hiring manager. Standard interview questions with opportunity to ask questions at the end. Everyone was very nice. Took a little over a week to hear back

Had two separate interviews. One was just basic questions, and only a little technical. The second was just speaking with someone higher up in company. Everyone was nice and easy to talk to.
