      Entretien

Such a massive waste of time that took TWO MONTHS. Took a week between the application and a recruiter reaching out. Did a phone screen, was then connected to the hiring manager, then asked to do a take-home test creating an entire marketing campaign for an upcoming Turo initiative. Went over my work with the hiring manager and prospective teammate. Was then asked to do a 3-hour long panel interview, then asked to do an additional hour-long interview. Finally, almost two months to the day of my application, I spoke with the recruiter, who told me they'd moved forward with someone else. An interview process doesn't need to take two months unless you're hiring for a role way higher up in the company than a senior copywriter. This was a waste of everyone's time. Given the amount of work involved in the take-home project (which involved having to create a piece of collateral as if I were actually in the role), this process also felt incredibly exploitative. Respect them feeling like another candidate was stronger, but this process could've been significantly streamlined. Communication was also unnecessarily slow, with an average of 3 days between interviews and follow-up with the recruiters. Having been on both sides of interviews, it shouldn't take 72 hours to collect feedback and reach out to candidates. Respect their time when they're making an effort to respect yours by showing up to interviews on time and completing take-home projects promptly (which they're not getting paid for and can't guarantee their work won't be used by the company despite not getting hired).
