I went through 2 rounds of interviews at TrustFlight. Everyone I spoke with was professional, sharp, and genuinely friendly — probably the strongest part of the experience and what initially got me excited about the opportunity. However, the process lacked proper communication. After the final round, I didn’t hear anything for over a month. Eventually I received an update saying that the recruitment had been paused. I understand that priorities can shift — I’ve been on hiring teams myself — but going completely silent after a candidate has put in significant time and effort isn’t a great look. Even a quick “we’re still figuring things out” would’ve made a big difference. They did provide thoughtful feedback on my performance, which I appreciated. I also noticed an error in the final assignment (a key tool mentioned in the scenario wasn’t included in the supporting materials), so attention to detail could be improved there. Overall takeaway Great people, but the process needs work — mainly around communication and candidate experience. I wouldn’t reapply, but I hope they take this feedback on board.
