Applied to the economic data analyst position as well, which is apparently still un-filled 4 months later. Had a screening, a second interview, a data test (which I passed), and then a final interview on-site. Got a missed call from a recruiter. Had assumed they were going to offer me a job. Called them back and never received a response. Had to call up HR to find out I was not moving forward as a candidate and that they were "re-writing" the position.
I thought it was really poor taste to try and reject someone over the phone, not reach them, and then leave them hanging and never calling them back. Just send an email. Also, the fact that this position remains open after months and months - as well as other positions I've seen on glassdoor, leads me to believe Trulia is A) interviewing for positions that don't exist, or B) holding out for a unicorn type candidate and essentially is continually on the market for candidates but never really hiring.
I'd pass and save yourself the trouble.
