I applied for the Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Java/React) role and unfortunately had a difficult experience with the interview process.
What didn’t go well:
Significant delays in communication: After completing the coding challenge, I did not receive any updates for almost two months. There were no status emails or check-ins during this period, which made the process unclear.
Unanswered questions: I asked for clarification about the role before the technical interview, but I did not receive a response. This contributed to uncertainty about expectations.
Misaligned requirements: After such a long process, I was informed that my experience did not fully match certain technical expectations (for example, tools like GraphQL). If specific technologies or years of experience were essential, it would have been helpful to communicate this early in the process.
Process felt unstructured: The timeline and coordination across steps felt inconsistent, which resulted in avoidable delays.
Final thoughts:
I value transparency in hiring processes, and this one had room for improvement. Candidates dedicate time and effort to challenges and interviews, so timely communication is important. I hope the company reviews its process and enhances communication and clarity for future applicants.

The interview process was poorly structured and felt disconnected from real-world development practices.
The technical assessment included a SQL exercise (straightforward) and a .NET coding challenge where candidates were expected to build a production-level API architecture from scratch in about 20 minutes, with no environment setup or stack context provided.
The second half consisted of basic theoretical questions about .NET concepts, which felt like a junior-level quiz rather than a senior engineer assessment.
Overall, the process seemed outdated and not well thought through. If you're a senior developer, expect a frustrating experience that doesn't reflect your real skills.

Live coding interview where I was asked to share my screen and build an API from scratch in real time. The time provided was not sufficient for a realistic production-style setup, especially for layered architectures.

Question 1
Can you create an API from scratch and structure it as you would in a production environment?
