      Entretien

      Was contacted via recruiter who seemed extremely eager to talk to me. The phone screen was quick and they set up an interview immediately after. The interview was scheduled pretty far out, and they pushed back the date once. The actual conversation felt rushed and formulaic. There were no technical questions, mostly project based, however they didn't allow me to talk about slightly older projects. After the conversation I had reservations about the company. They didn't send me a technical challenge. Finally, their feedback links on the followup email were broken.

      Similar to what others have expressed, I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. First couple phone screens with the recruiter went alright. Then there was a technical interview with an engineering manager. He asked me very surface level questions which I thought I answered well, but the whole time I don't think he smiled one time. He didn't seem happy to be interviewing me, and generally made me feel quite self conscious and uncomfortable. Seemed that he immediately made a judgement that I wouldn't be a good culture fit, and maybe I wouldn't, that's understandable. I just wish he would've been more welcoming. The did email me a couple days after to let me know they weren't going to proceed with me, which honestly was a little relieving as it spared me to have to email them asking to be removed from the candidate pool as I have no interest in joining such an unwelcoming company. As others have pointed out, they are quick to make rash decisions and not be very inclusive.

It is unfortunate that you did not have a positive candidate experience after this point, as we always strive to deliver an elite experience at every stage. During the hiring manager interview for our more technical roles, hiring teams are looking to assess the candidates experience in a number of areas to ensure they have the baseline requirements needed to be successful in the interview stages that follow. We deeply apologize if an interviewer at any point made you feel as though they were not happy to be there. As your recruiter mentions on their initial call, we do encourage candidates to reach out at any point during the process to ask questions, or deliver feedback regarding their interviews and how things are going.       The first step in our hiring process is the initial phone screen. Following that, candidates are asked to complete a take-home code challenge, which assesses their practical skills. Successful candidates then proceed to a technical screen with our engineering team. Finally, candidates are invited to an offsite interview with our leadership team to further evaluate their fit for the role.
