I attended an interview with Trident for a new role they were recruiting for, as a Service Delivery Manager. The interview was totally unstructured and the manager conducting it highly distracted, throughout. I was given very little opportunity, for most of the conversation, to do much of the talking - allowing me to demonstrate my skills, expertise and suitability for the role. While this concerned me during the meeting, I was repeatedly reassured that I was doing well and that he was impressed with me. At the end of the meeting, we had a brief conversation around salary and I was informed that, were it not for the fact that there were 2 other candidates being met with later that week, an offer would have been made to me for the position - there and then. 2 days later, the recruiter and I were told that I had been unsuccessful and have not been fedback as to why that's the case. Since then, I've seen the job re-listed in various places. Not the best experience - the meeting overran considerably so between that, the comments which were made by the hiring manager and the outcome, I would think twice about putting myself forward for another vacancy with this organisation (despite really wanting the job).
