It was a long process, involving interview questions and then a hand-written task. I remember some of the questions asking about how best to communicate with drivers etc who are not the most tech savvy, and how different types of comms would positively effect company culture. The location is easy to find and staff seemed friendly enough.

I applied to this role in mid-May and they got back to me with an interview invite in June. The interview lasted one hour and a half and it consisted of: a 30-min writing test and a competencies-based interview. The test was alright, however, in normal conditions, you'd need more time to write a 500-word article and come up with two other ideas for future articles. As for the questions, there were only four. I believe I did my best with answering them using the STAR method, however, the feedback I received was that I should have provided more background. In my opinion, there was enough background in my answers, however the interviewers were too busy writing down word by word what I was saying to actually focus on the answer. One time actually, one of them asked me one detail which I had certainly mentioned before . It felt more like I had to make sure they had all written down rather than to focus on my answers. As somebody else said in another TfL interview review on this platform: they seem more focused on getting the technicality bit right, as HR dictates it, rather then listening to the person and discovering the other skills they are pointing out to. Don't let the method dictate everything! You'll lose out on candidates who are good at their job and not just at faking it at interviews!
