In the beginning the process was very smooth. They were great about communicating and setting up interviews. They were very clear about what each interview entailed and who I would be meeting with and for how long. Unfortunately, after 12 hours of interviews and a team lunch they dropped off the radar. My last interview was with the CEO, and he asked that I submit references. I never heard from them again. I know that we had issues with salary, as they were looking for something just above entry-level and I am a middle manager. I was looking to change careers and this company was a great fit for what I wanted to do and they type of company I wanted to work for. I thought we just needed to figure out the salary. Sadly, they never got to find out how much lower a salary I was willing to take for an opportunity to work with them. I love what they do and the passion of the CEO. I just wish that they could have closed the loop. Either way, it's most professional to just let people know that you can't meet the salary or that you've decided to move in another direction.
