Entretien
I completed the online interview process 4 times using a couple different email addresses because I really wanted this job. I always answered the 10 grammar questions correctly, they were simple and straightforward if you read the guidelines. But the transcription part of the exam is totally BOGUS! They don't want you to pass. The first 2 times I did the exam, I knew my transcription was almost perfect, I followed all guidelines, but was still failing. I got suspicious, so the second 2 times I did the exam, I started to copy and paste my text into a separate document so I could compare during the second try and fix any minor errors. Turns out, even the ones I got 100% on the first try, I typed the EXACT same way the second time and FAILED!!!! Totally BS and such a waste of time. There is no excuse for the exact same written text to pass the first time and fail the second. Seems like a scam to waste your time and never hire you. Wish I could report this somehow.
The interview process was more of an exam. You were able to study their basic format and guidelines and then you had to successfully transcribe two jobs with a small margin for error. It was a good introduction to the work you did and it was helpful to test your working knowledge of their guidelines. Once you passed, you were able to begin work!

- Have access to a valid PayPal account
- Pass the entrance exam

Entretien
Too intense, they expect 100%, it was too hard and the pay was not promising. It does not match the work available, not talk that transcription is a dying profession.

Do not waste your time trying to apply for them. I would advise doing thorough research before applying to any similar platform because the pay rates and level of common sense vary greatly from one platform to another. The TranscribeMe exam is difficult: it will take forever to prepare for, hours to complete and you will be rejected even if you pass. I wish I would have read other people's reviews before wasting so much of my time. After I passed the test, I quickly received an automated email stating that I violated their terms by opening multiple accounts or that the answers submitted were not entirely my own. Needless to say, neither was true. My guess is they have enough/too many people working on the platform and do not currently accept new entries. If this is the case, then they should suspend the application process. It's thick-skinned behavior, not to mention borderline cruel of them to allow applicants to waste so much time and energy in vain.
