I am absolutely disappointed with the interview process at Toptal. In a company of that size and reputation, I was expecting a professional and respectful experience. Instead, I was subjected to a series of poorly-managed and disrespectful interviews that showed a complete lack of consideration for the candidates.
The first interview with the recruiter was a complete joke, as they simply read the company description from the screen without any effort to engage with me. The remaining four interviews were all based on a generic frameworks that seemed designed to select candidates who just follow a script rather than think critically.
To make matters even worse, one of the interviews was delayed due to interviewer’s internet issues (and they messaged me only after 10 minutes wait), and the last interview was with a rude and assertive interviewer who showed no respect for my time or ideas. She constantly interrupted me, pushed me towards a pre-determined solution, and showed no interest in my thoughts or perspectives. It was clear that her ultimate goal was to showcase her own superiority, rather than assess my fit for the role.
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated by the lack of professionalism and respect shown by Toptal during this process. It is clear that they value robots over personalities and are not interested in hiring well-rounded, thoughtful individuals. I would strongly discourage any professionals from considering Toptal as a potential employer.

The screen call with the recruiter was odd and uncomfortable. The recruiter said that I need to know each metric I've achieved for every role and company, even if it was 5 years ago. It felt like the recruiter was trying to verify whether I knew every detail of my CV. If I was wrong about any metric or number, this person would point it out

Had a very negative experience due to the interviewer's lack of time awareness in the product sense interview round. This made me rush through the interview and made the experience less collaborative, resulting in me performing poorly.
