The recruiter failed to call me on our scheduled phone screen date/time. She apologized, having been "so busy" and we rescheduled. Then I spoke with the hiring manager, provided my feedback to the recruiter, and didn't hear anything from that recruiter again. Days later, a generic email from Toast saying they're going with another candidate. Rather unprofessional.

I had an initial interview with the Hiring Manager. During the interview, they didn't take time to introduce me to the company, the role, the culture, etc. They didn't bring any context to the job advert. They went straight into very technical questions. In the end, I tried to ask some questions about the role and culture to ensure it was a fit for me. The interview either didn't answer my questions or provided vague answers. It was one of the worst experiences, and I decided to withdraw my application.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. First call was a generic screen with a recruiter. They ask you what you know about Toast, some behavioral questions, and to talk about your past experience. Then I spoke with a hiring manager - more behavioral questions
