I had an initial phone screening with Toast's in-house recruiter and followed up with a second call with Director of UX the next week. My phone conversations were pleasant and both seemed enthusiastic about Toast which also made me eager for this position. I had the pleasure of meeting the Toast team in person in their Boston office. The recruiting team was very friendly and accommodating for my visit. The company vibe overall seemed very warm and passionate in their roles. I spent a half day doing one-on-one interviews and ended with a short presentation with the design team. I met with various departments related to the position and felt like the short time was spent well with meaningful interview questions and conversations. Though I didn't get the offer, I appreciate that the whole team took the time to get to know me and consider me as a candidate.
