The interview process took a few weeks. I had two phone interviews, a Google Hangout interview, as well as an in-person interview.
While the interviews were great and everyone was awesome and fun, it was a lot of interviewing to get no offer. I truly felt like the team and I got along and that I was definitely going through the motions in terms of being hired. I was pretty let down to find I didn't get the position when it felt I had been led to believe I was a getting it. Overall, it was a lot of answering the same questions (even with the same people from time to time) but personalities were great and very welcoming.
Thanks for taking the time to leave your review. We appreciate it!

It started with a take-home test then I had a video interview with the Community Support Manager. Afterward, I was invited for an on-site interview where I met with a few different people from a couple of different departments, including the Manager I initially interviewed with. Everyone was awesome, very relaxed, and all the interviews seemed conversational rather than being grilled. While I ended up not getting the position, I was very impressed with everyone and my Recruiter, Devin, was AWESOME throughout the entire process! He was very engaged and transparent and also gave me some great feedback about my responses from the team following the final interview. I definitely recommend interviewing with Tinder and will continue to check their job board for future opportunities :)

Question 1
Most questions were situational as they pertain to the job. You sign an NDA so I can' t put more on here, just come ready to speak about your experience in-depth to show you really know what you're talking about.

Overall, the interview process initially went about as expected. It started with a take home test to see how I'd handle a customer question and from there the interviews began. Everyone I met with was pretty great and friendly. They were even receptive to answering any questions I might have if I felt like there were any concerns or hesitations or anything like that (which I have to say was really refreshing as not a lot of companies tend to be willing to be that transparent during the interview process).
I did do two video interviews which I'll admit usually make me kind of uncomfortable (more of an in-person kind of person!) But the people I spoke to were great and made it a lot more easy to engage with over video.
Everything was pretty comfortable until things got to the final stage for references. It suddenly felt like there was a tone shift that was happening and the interactions went from pretty transparent and friendly to suddenly feeling kind of like I was being negged. There was a lot of run arounds begin given for this part that really threw me through a loop. I don't think I've ever had so many back and forths regarding references before.
I eventually did get a job offer but I turned it down because I just didn't feel comfortable moving forward. The shift from friendliness to mild hostility really put me off. It's really unfortunate, however, because everyone in the company really seemed great and it would have been a really great opportunity.
