I declined my offer from TikTok (worst interview experience I've ever had)! The TikTok team should not be taken seriously, interviewers show up 15 to 20 minutes late to sessions planned weeks in advance. Plus, the recruiting and coordination talent is unexperienced and pushy, nowhere near the level you'd expect from a FAANG company. The Chinese culture is apparent after meeting with 6 TikTok employees (some interviewers expressed the US office has no real control over the companies OKRs and product roadmap). Every employee I connected with seemed incredibly stressed and communicated bluntly. From spending a few hours with the team I found the culture to be incredibly toxic. This company is not what it appears to be on the surface - beware.

They arranged 3 rounds of interviews with all team members, not the hiring manager. I felt like it was not the typical process because one of them said they were changing the direction of this role.

A really technical case and how to solve the pain point.
There are in total 4rounds including 2 rounds with senior peers and 1 round with +1 and round with HR, not that difficult. But I think the experience match is most important……..

Each round has around 45 minutes. Case and BQ are heavy, and the interviewers will leave 5-10 minutes for questions toward the end of the session
