Applied directly and received an interview set up email from the Recruitment Coordinator based in NY. The first call with Recruitment Manager was fantastic. Interaction with these 2 gentlemen was the only good thing about this process!
Interviewed with the hiring manager & a peer (?) and the judgmental tone was very evident. The mainland China theme is also apparent with the way they ask questions, almost look down on all your responses, etc.. As shared by some folks here, they want too many "specifics" may be to be able to get free insider information about the way things work in you org and copy them (?).
Very curt interactions and it has a similar pattern of the interviewers not listening to the responses properly, only to ask the same question again after 2-3 minutes! I didn't feel it was a language issue more than an intent issue.
Advice to people: Do not share any proprietary or unpublished information about your role and/or the company no matter how desperate you are for a job.
