Recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. I was ecstatic about the opportunity to speak with the recruiter with the possibility of joining TiVO, given my background. When the recruiter reached out, it was for an Account Manager position. When the recruiter followed up, I was told to apply for the Customer Solutions Manager position. I applied, and was scheduled to talk with the director of the team. First meeting was rescheduled due to scheduling conflict, no big deal. Had a phone interview with the director and was extended a second interview (in person). The second interview was then scheduled and rescheduled. At this point, I’m kind of irritated that both interviews were rescheduled but pressed through with the interview. After the second interview with the director, I was told that I would interview with the VP of Program Management. That interview was also rescheduled. I’m furious this time because the interviewed would then be scheduled during a time I was out of the country. However, intrigued by the opportunity, I agreed. A few days later, I was asked to submit references and that I would hear something at the end of the week. However, it was for another position on the team, a position that I didn’t apply for. Three weeks later and I still hadn’t heard back from anyone at TiVO so I reached out to the person that told me they would get back with me. For a company that suppose to thrive off of customer service, the service provided to a perspective employee was very lackluster at best.
