Phone screen with hiring manager and then in-person interview with a couple of managers and a senior marketing VP. Walked through a couple of case questions. I enjoyed the conversation with one interviewer who seemed genuinely interested in speaking. Another interview, however, felt very transactional. That person seemed disinterested and and seem to be going through the motions.

A few weeks after I applied online, a recruiter reached out to schedule a phone screening. The recruiter I had my phone interview with did not ask me a single question. In fact, he stated that he could learn more about a candidate by what they had to ask. So I proceeded to ask him questions about Thumbtack for an hour. I learned a lot about the company and the role, but he learned nothing about me. I was supposed to hear back within a couple business days. When I did not hear anything, I emailed the recruiter inquiring, and he never responded. Very poor experience, huge waste of time.

Long with many interviews and an exercise. Job expectations changed during the interview process and I was told I no longer qualified. It felt like a lot of steps and a long time just to be told that the job description was changed. Maybe this was their way of letting me down easy?
