A few weeks ago, I was approached by a recruiter from ThoughtStorm who seemed interested in my profile. After disclosing my current and expected compensation, I progressed through several rounds of interviews, including discussions with the CTO and delivery manager. Despite clearing these rounds, I received no feedback on my application status.
Recently, after being asked for my documents to proceed further, I was contacted by HR for negotiation. However, when I expressed my readiness to discuss compensation, I was informed they were evaluating other candidates who might accept lower offers. I was left hanging without a clear answer on my application status. The HR even said she is not asking me to wait and I should join anywhere else if I have the offer.
Upon questioning these practices, I was abruptly told to wait for a response in a few days, only to receive no follow-up. This unprofessional behavior not only undermines candidates' morale but also their market value.
