WORST INTERVIEW EVER. *it's gonna be a long shot but this should be read by all candidates and applicants. 1. EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED: A person in HR contacted me via email a couple days later I applied online to invite me to their phone interview. She asked my availability so I replied but had never heard back. After 10 days I sent a follow-up email I'd like to conduct the interview if I'm still considered. She called me 6:30 pm on the same day asking me whether I'm okay to get interviewed now. I was about to order food with my friend at a restaurant so told her I can't but I could if she rescheduled it tomorrow late morning. 2. UNBELIEVABLY RUDE: During the interview, after a few basic questions on my background, she asked me why am I applying for this particular position although I'm not a Japanese (how do these two related in the first place?). I answered that because I got my university education there and most of my previous experiences are all done in Japan so I thought I can do better than my first language. She didn't quite understand apparently, saying "but you're not Japanese". (WTF?) She wanted to allocate me to a different team other than Japan team where my first language is mostly used. I had no choice to get an offer so I said yes. 3. EXCEPTIONALLY DISRESPECTFUL: The interview was done about 11:30 am but the same person called me again 4:10 pm on the same day. Right after I picked it up, she asked "YOU DON'T HAVE TWO YEARS OF FULL-TIME WORK EXPERIENCE?" and I was very frustrated because the job posting said nothing about previous experience. I do have a two-year military service experience, I said but she didn't really understand what I meant. I submitted my resume and she must have read it but I don't really get why she asked this silly. She kept asking this silly over and over, ended up asking if I can issue a document to prove it. Military service is for the government so of course I can, I said, but I'm sure the document doesn't provide any information about any type of employment since almost of all employment in military is full-time. The overall HR seemed very disorganized and disrespectful for job candidates. Even smaller companies than Third Bridge do their HR very nicely I'm pretty sure. Please revise your recruiting and hiring system if you really need some qualified candidates.
