J'ai passé un entretien chez The Yarn Bazaar

      Entretien

There were a total of 3 rounds, 2 with the current BD lead, and one with the founder. The current BD lead sounded like he was himself wanting an out from the company and was interviewing elsewhere. Apart from that the interview went well and he was respectful at all times during both times. Then I met the founder who had appeared on Shark Tank India. It is truly surprising what sudden or disproportionate success can do to one's psyche. This non gentleman was not only cocky about the money he's made, the friends he has had, the girlfriend he has, but also tried to intimidate me into losing my cool. If all this was intentional to see how I react and if makes me aggressive, then I can't say what being cool during something like this says about me. I felt like he wants a slave, and was looking for someone who can take whatever pressure that shove on you. He wants someone who is tied for money to exploit, someone who has immense monetary pressure either from his family, his girlfriend, his parents, or any other personal obligation. I guess that was made clear and I like it to be that way. All in all, an average experience. Personally I would never want to work for founders like those. I guess such is the difference b/w someone who wants to live a wholesome life and someone who was brought up around capitalist pigs and wants just what he has been conditioned to want. I know we have to live with such people in this world and I can only help people who want more from life, avoid such situations. Also wanted help anyone who is looking for something like this to dive right in. I think they pay well.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Sales numbers, What are the milestones in your life that have shaped where you are right now? Tell me all your salaries that you have received since your first job? What was the turning point in your life? - (The interviewer had a very unrelated example of this from his own life, maybe he misunderstood what turning means) Do you earn the most amongst your friends? Do you parents take money from you? Don't you have a girlfriend who puts pressure on you to earn more? Do you have any operations intensive experience which could be relevant to this role? We are looking for someone who works like a program manager for us in new markets too, do you have any experience in something like this in your sales career?
