The first phase of the interview process was a prescreening call that lasted 15-20 minutes. This call included several questions about me and my availability, as well as a brief discussion of the job details, including salary, shift times, and transportation expectations.
The second interview was scheduled for the next day or 1-2 days later, and I interviewed with the program director, the lead case worker, and the caseworker for the Emergency Program department. This was a screening of various questions about my work experience and the expectations of the position I was hiring for.
The third phase was the background check and start date. This is where I knew there was some disorganization within the onboarding process. I was given a start date 3 weeks from my initial interview and acceptance offer and was told the background check would take 2 to 3 weeks to complete. The background check took one week to complete, and my 3-week start date was changed to a 1-week start date after the background was cleared. I accepted and adjusted my schedule to accommodate the rush process.
