      They reached out saying they would like to move forward. I took both of the online assessments that they requested. I still hadn't spoken to a person yet when they asked me to take another assessment. Weeks passed and after following up with HR multiple times I received an automated rejection letter. As someone who specializes in HR technology at my current role, I can tell you this product is not the way of the future. The way a company conducts processes to improve or damage the candidate experience translates into how they treat their employees. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of care for humans as I was very excited to learn about PI. I've never felt more demeaned from a company and I have interviewed at countless companies. My advice to HR? Don't have candidates take tests for you (precious time out of their busy lives) unless you are going to speak with them regardless of the results. Imagine how you would feel being rejected after taking a math test.

At PI, we use our product in our hiring process and stand by it to determine the best candidates to pursue for a specific position based on job fit, which has been proven to be the highest predictors of job success. Assessments are not the only determining factor of someone’s candidacy. With our process, we gain insight into how candidates think and work from our behavioral and cognitive assessments, along with data points from someone’s resume, cover letter, phone interviews, on-site interviews and references.
